The Star Care provides community-based supports for people living with disability, where every individual is encouraged to pursue their goals by accessing skills-based learning, recreation and social activities. Our experienced and skilled support workers will also help to access the community and provide transport to and from the activity. It can include activities going to your local café, joining a netball team, bushwalking with a friend, doing a craft class. The support also includes assistance to establish volunteer arrangements in the community, mentoring, peer support, and individual skill development. Our dedicated support workers play a crucial role in making social and community participation accessible and enjoyable for NDIS participants. Here's how they can help:
- Personalized Support: Our support workers provide personalized assistance tailored to the unique needs and preferences of each individual, ensuring they can participate in activities that align with their interests and abilities.
- Transportation Assistance: Our team can provide transportation support, ensuring individuals can access community events, outings, and activities safely and comfortably.
- Companionship: Our support workers offer companionship and encouragement, accompanying individuals to social gatherings, classes, and events, providing reassurance and emotional support along the way.
- Facilitation of Activities: Our team can facilitate group activities and outings, organize social events, and coordinate participation in community programs, ensuring individuals have opportunities to engage in meaningful and enjoyable experiences.
- Promotion of Inclusion: Our support workers advocate for inclusion and accessibility, ensuring that individuals with disabilities are welcomed and supported in community settings, and promoting awareness and understanding within the community.
